Power Safety: Before beginning, ensure all power is turned off or disconnected to maintain safety.
Application Process: Generously apply a smooth, bubble-free layer of the detector liquid on all relevant surfaces. Focus particularly on areas prone to leaks, such as threaded connections, joints, and valves. For detailed guidance, refer to the Leak Detection Manual.
Leak Identification: Observe the coated areas. For most leaks, bubbles will appear almost immediately. Micro leaks are identified by the formation of foam cocoons or small clusters of bubbles, which may take between 5 to 30 minutes to develop.
Operational Testing: After applying the detector, turn the equipment back on. This step is crucial for checking vibration-related leaks that may only appear during operation.
Cleanup: Once the detection process is complete, clean the surfaces by wiping them down or rinsing with water, if available.
